Games

Welcome to the games page! I’m new to making games, so don’t expect this to be updated frequently.

However, I know how useful these have been for everyone during the pandemic, so I decided to try my hand at making some.

Games here will be sorted by concept. If you notice a bug or issue with a game, please send me an email at DynamicMusicRoomATgmailDOTcom. Please be as detailed as possible in what wrong, and I’ll try to fix it.

Note: Games are hosted on another site I run, called Huddle Around Games. This is because THIS site, Dynamic Music Room, is way too big to host games quickly.

Rhythm Games

Rhythm Match

A browser-based game for testing your rhythm-matching skills.

Rhythm Match is a simple game for testing rhythm listening and reading skills. Listen to the pattern, click the correct rhythm, and avoid getting three strikes!

Controls: Left click to navigate and select. (Touch also works on mobile devices.)

Version 1.0 – Levels 1-5 are working. This covers quarter notes, eighth notes, quarter rests, half notes, four sixteenth notes, and two eighth paired with two sixteenth notes. Endless is also working in beta mode (not finished). It also works with one level.

If people are interested in my fleshing out this game more, I could add:

  • More levels and rhythms
  • Endless Mode with more rhythms
  • Better visuals and assets (Hey, I’m getting better)
  • A Leaderboard function to track everyone’s High Score

But this stuff takes time (and money) I don’t have for these projects right now.

Rhythm Madness

A browser-based game for younger students (though it’s fun for older ones too).

Instrument Madness is a dodging-collecting game. Avoid the quarter rests, collect the other rhythms, see how high of a score you can get.

Control – Arrow keys or click the mouse to move the character.

Version 1.0 – I know this is rough. It’s literally my first game. I was mostly playing around with how to get things to work. In the future and with future games, I’ll want to make them to practice the concepts a little bit more.
